Use the lender's current requirements to prepare an application. Hobo's earlier claim of fifteen participating lenders and one universally lender-ready file is not established by this research.

SBI's published NRI product page provides a concrete example. It lists ages 18–70, a minimum loan of ₹15 lakh and tenure up to 30 years. These are advertised product boundaries, not a sanction or an assurance that every applicant receives that tenure. Its documentary list distinguishes salaried from non-salaried borrowers. Salaried applicants are asked for a work permit, employment contract, recent salary evidence and bank statements; non-salaried applicants have business and financial-statement requirements. It also lists six months of overseas account history and a year's statement for an existing loan. Property papers vary with the transaction and include sale/allotment documentation, approvals and payment evidence. SBI NRI home-loan product and documents

Turn that into three separate file sections: borrower/income evidence, existing liabilities and property evidence. Mark each item with its period, issuer, name match and any translation requirement. Ask the selected lender which additional country-specific documents and execution formalities apply before ordering attestations.

Compare offers on the same loan amount and repayment period. Record the quoted rate, fixed/floating structure, reset conditions, fees, required own contribution and disbursal conditions. A lower starting EMI alone does not establish lower total cost. No lender-wide FOIR percentage, current interest rate or Hobo lender mandate is asserted here.

Practical distinction: in-principle eligibility concerns the borrower; sanction conditions and the property/disbursal process still need to be satisfied. Keep the written offer and outstanding conditions beside the purchase payment schedule. Do not promise a seller a disbursal date based only on an online estimate.
